Stewart Robertson Managing Director

A graduate of Glasgow University, Mr. Robertson qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young in 1990. He then moved to PKF and subsequently joined PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent eight years in the corporate finance team. In 2000, he became a Partner in a private investment firm where he served as a Non-executive Director on the boards of several companies in various industries, including 12 years as a Director of Motherwell Football Club where he acted as Managing and Financial Director for several years before reverting to Non-Executive status. He was also responsible for all the FCA regulated activities of the investment business and was FCA authorised in corporate finance and venture capital. Mr. Robertson joined Rangers in 2015 and has played a key role in implementing operational and strategic change, overseeing the recovery of the Club and its return to financial sustainability and on-field success. He has served on the Board of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) on several occasions since 2003 and is currently a member of the SFA’s Professional Game Board. Mr. Robertson was appointed to the football club Board in June 2015.

Andrew Dickson Director of Finance and Football Administration

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, Mr Dickson began his career at Rangers in 1991 in the finance department, becoming Financial Controller of the Club in 2001. During this period, he gained knowledge of the football administration side of the Club and in 2003 took up the position of Head of Football Administration, where his experience of football finance, player contracts and the rules and regulations governing the administration of the game was indispensable. Mr. Dickson became Director of Finance and Administration and was subsequently appointed to the football club Board in March 2015. Currently he is a member of the SFA Congress, SFA Rules and Revision Committee, SPFL Judicial Panel Protocol Working Group and is the Club representative at the Glasgow FA. His long association with Rangers and his involvement in a number of different Committees and Working Groups within the SPFL and SFA has provided him with a unique understanding of the dynamics within Scottish, British and European football.

Ross Wilson Sporting Director

After graduating from the University of Strathclyde, Mr. Wilson began his career in 2004 at Falkirk FC, where he oversaw the development of the football department including recruitment strategy and academy operations. Ultimately leading the academy to unprecedented success as the club enjoyed the most successful period in its history. In 2011 he took up the role of Football Business Director at Watford FC in the EFL Championship, with responsibility for player recruitment, medical and sports science and academy and football development, as well as serving as a member of the club’s Executive Board. There followed three years as Executive Director and Head of Football Operations at Huddersfield FC, during which time Mr. Wilson led the establishment of building a sustainable championship club that was ready to compete to be promoted to the Premier League through the establishment of a modern player recruitment department, the upgrading of the training ground and Academy facilities to achieve Category 2 EPPP status and significant growth in player trading profits. Following this successful period in West Yorkshire, in 2015 Mr. Wilson joined Southampton FC in the Premier League as Director of Football Operations, where he oversaw several significant transfers including a record breaking European transfer. In October 2019, Mr. Wilson moved to Rangers to take up the role of Sporting Director and was appointed to the football club Board in January 2020.

James Blair Company Secretary

James is Group Counsel and Company Secretary to all of the companies within the Rangers International Football Club PLC group. He is a solicitor with over 35 years’ experience working both in-house for companies and in private practice. James is a lifelong Rangers supporter. The fifth generation of his family to support the Club. James first became a regular attendee at Ibrox at the start of the 1980s and was appointed Company Secretary shortly after the March 2015 GM. James is a corporate solicitor who has acted in the funding, sale and purchase of businesses throughout the UK and Europe. James is a former Corporate partner at two of Scotland’s leading legal firms and also served as Group Counsel and Company Secretary at one of the UK’s largest property companies. He was appointed to the Board in March 2015.

James Bisgrove Director of Commercial and Marketing

Mr. Bisgrove began his career in marketing at the Royal Bank of Scotland where he was responsible for the management and execution of sports sponsorships in cricket, rugby, tennis, golf and Formula 1 as well as The O2 Arena London. He then took up the role of International Partnership Manager at Betfair, delivering multi-channel campaigns across 15 European countries, leveraging partnerships with clubs such as Manchester United and FC Barcelona. In 2010, Mr. Bisgrove was appointed Sponsorship Lead at Emirates Airline, spending three years in Dubai managing an extensive global partnership portfolio including Arsenal FC, Real Madrid, FIFA World Cup, Formula 1 and the NBA. Recruited by UEFA in 2013, Mr. Bisgrove had accountability for driving the commercial strategy and execution of the Champions League sponsorship programme and managing the relationship with exclusive agency TEAM Marketing, before joining TEAM to head up sponsorship with 15 brands across the Champions League and Europa League club competitions, such as Heineken, Pepsi, Nissan, adidas and Mastercard. He joined Rangers FC in 2019 to drive commercial and brand growth and was appointed to the football club Board in January 2020.

Julian Wolhardt Non-Executive Director

Julian Juul Wolhardt is the Chief Executive Officer of DCP and Member of the Investment Committee. DCP is a leading international private equity firm supported by a diverse group of world-class long-term institutional investors, including leading sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, endowments, family offices and funds of funds around the globe. Prior to establishing DCP, Mr. Wolhardt was a Partner and the Regional Leader of Greater China Region at KKR. Before joining KKR, Mr. Wolhardt was with Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia and was most recently responsible for its private equity business in Greater China. Previously, he was with the Mergers and Acquisition Group of Lazard Freres & Co. and the Financial Advisory Service Group of Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Wolhardt is a CPA and CMA and received a B.S. with honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He was elected to the Board in August 2018.

Alastair Johnston Non-Executive Director

Mr. Johnston is Vice Chairman of IMG, the leading international sports and entertainment group, where he began his career in sports marketing and promotion after graduating in Business & Administration from the University of Strathclyde and qualifying as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen & Company. He emigrated to the United States in 1972 to join IMG where he worked under the founder, Mark H. McCormack, and subsequently rose to the position of Co-Chief Executive Officer. In so doing, amongst other functions, he served as the personal agent/business manager of iconic golfer, Arnold Palmer, for almost 40 years. During his career he also led the IMG team responsible for representing the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in negotiating all of its sponsorship and media agreements for the Open Championship. Glasgow-born and boasting a large collection of Rangers-related books, Mr. Johnston first became a club director in 2004 before going on to succeed David Murray as Chairman in August 2009. He held this position for two seasons during which Rangers won successive SPL titles under the management of Walter Smith. Mr. Johnston stepped down from the Board in May 2011 but was invited to re-join in June 2017.
   
Graeme

Graeme Park Non-Executive Director

Graeme is a Director of Park’s of Hamilton and their various subsidiaries and has served on the board there since 2012. He has worked full time in the family business since graduating from The University of Strathclyde’s Business School in 2005. He is a lifelong fan of the Club and represents the board on the committee for the 150thanniversary celebrations. He joined the RIFC board in August 2015 and briefly served on the TRFC board during the early stages whilst the management team was grown. His educational background at University focussed on marketing and business law and he continues to take a keen interest in these areas within his main business. He has involvement in a number of projects within the Club as and when required. Away from football he supports a number of charities and works closely with the Rangers Charity Foundation and assists with various initiatives to help them raise funds.
