Asset Match is proud to announce that it has surpassed £2,000,000 of Arsenal Debentures traded on the platform, this comes just 6 months after recently sharing the news of reaching £1,000,000 traded in January.

Following two consecutive, impressive seasons challenging for the Premier League title, demand for the Arsenal Debentures is at an all-time high – especially with the securing of European Champion’s League football.

Eager fans have stumbled upon an eye-watering waiting list for season tickets at the Emirates, with an estimated wait between 8-10 year’s long. Consequently, the Arsenal Debentures have become an attractive prospect for fans as they allow the holder to gain a priority allocation to a minimum Silver Membership with Gold Membership season tickets subject to availability - skipping the long waiting list.

The Problem:

Prior to joining Asset Match, the Debentures were managed by a previous provider and only 8 debentures had traded over a 5-year period due to the lack of transparency within the market. Both buyers and sellers found it extremely difficult to identify the available demand and supply for the debentures which meant it was near impossible to arrange a trade. Other commonly experienced issues were the 3–4-week transfer timeline and there being no secure method of transferring payment between parties.

Our Solution:

Asset Match approached the Club and coordinated with their team to put in place a bespoke marketplace and secure transfer process to trade the Arsenal Debentures.
The semi-restricted market allows users to access a dedicated page where they can find a full order book of debentures available for sale, including asking prices, historical trading information and related information to attached season tickets.
The dedicated market page acts as a portal for interested parties to access essential information, such as the prospectus, terms and conditions and FAQ documents; to assist them in making an informed decision when purchasing or selling.

Our market enhanced transparency and, for the first time, buyers and sellers were able to easily access information on the available supply and demand which in nurtured regular trading in the debentures.

The transfer process put in place followed a simple structure which any user can follow, and our regular communication updates allow users to feel well-informed of the status of their transaction. We utilise key contacts at both the Club and the Registrar to allow for a 2-week fast-tracked timeline and we incorporated an escrow account, where funds are held for the duration of the transaction, to enhance security and allow us to referee the transaction should there be any issues.

The Result:

Our transparent market and expediated transfer process has allowed for over 250 debentures to be traded since 2018, with some debentures achieving prices as much as £25,000 each (with season tickets closest the halfway line).
